PlayOn Scripts are based on the Lua scripting language. These scripts contain Lua code that interfaces with the PlayOn Lua Script Host. The PlayOn Script Host provides normal Lua scripts access to PlayOn specific Functions, Meta Blocks and Special Codes.

To create a script for PlayOn, simply create a textfile in the Plugins\Scripts directory and give it a .lua extension. Then using this guide as a reference, write the script in the Lua language calling the appropriate PlayOn routines.
